Historic Soulard

The lively Soulard neighborhood was named for Antoine Soulard, a Frenchman who surveyed colonial St. Louis for the King of Spain and original owner of this tract of land just minutes south of the Gateway Arch. An architecturally significant collection of
19th-century homes, constructed of St. Louis' signature red brick, welcomes you to Soulard. Many of the neighborhood's music clubs, pubs and friendly restaurants offer brick courtyards open for music, dining and fun. And the historic churches of Soulard, many of which were built by St. Louis' immigrant communities, welcome visitors throughout the year

Anheuser-Busch

Visit Soulard's next-door neighbor, the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, for a taste of the St. Louis brews. Free tours of the headquarters of the world's largest beer maker are offered Monday through Saturday and daily from Memorial Day - Labor Day
